iGaming SMS marketing

iGaming SMS marketing for the moments
email is too slow.

A bonus that expires at midnight. A Champions League kick-off in ninety minutes. A match-day odds boost. These are the moments an email sits unread and an SMS gets a deposit.

Trigger Media runs opt-in SMS campaigns for casino and sportsbook operators across Tier 1 and Tier 2 GEOs, written natively per market and scheduled against the sports calendar.

When SMS wins

Short copy, short window, fast deposit

SMS is not a cheaper email. It is a different tool for a different moment: when the offer has a deadline and the reader is on a phone. Used that way it produces some of the fastest deposits in iGaming. Used as a daily broadcast it burns the list in a week.

Sportsbook: event windows

Pre-match pushes in the hours before kick-off, live in-play boosts during the match, tournament sequences across a Champions League round, an NFL weekend or an IPL stretch. Peak event days are where SMS has delivered our highest single-day FTD counts.

Casino: bonus drops and expiries

Time-boxed welcome offers, reload bonuses with a same-day deadline, free-spin drops tied to a new game launch. Short windows create urgency that email can't.

Reactivation of your own database

A single SMS to players inactive for 90 or 180 days, with a redeposit offer and a deadline. You supply the list; it is usually the lowest-cost deposit an operator can buy.

How we run it

Native copy, carrier routes, tracked links

  • Native creative per market. Copy written in the language and register of each GEO by people who bet in it. Translated copy is the fastest way to lose a list.
  • Carrier-grade direct routes. Sub-second delivery, no grey routes, sender IDs set per market where carriers allow alphanumeric senders.
  • Short tracked links. Every message carries a branded short link with campaign, GEO and creative parameters, so each deposit is attributed to what produced it.
  • Scheduling against the calendar. Sportsbook sends are planned around fixtures and send-hour rules per GEO; casino sends around bonus windows and local evenings.
  • Unicode and flash SMS where the route supports them, for markets with non-Latin scripts and for time-critical offers.
  • Daily reporting on sends, clicks, FTDs and CPA per GEO, from your postback.
Compliance

Opt-in, opt-out, send hours

SMS is the most tightly regulated of the three channels we run and the one where mistakes are most visible. We send to opted-in audiences only, every message identifies the sender and carries a working opt-out, and we observe send-hour restrictions and responsible-gambling requirements per GEO. Markets where gambling SMS is effectively closed, including most of the US, are handled case by case or routed to email instead.

Where a market requires consent records we keep them and can provide them per campaign.

Combined

SMS plus email is the usual setup

Most partners run email for volume and SMS for timing. A typical sportsbook sequence is an email the day before a big fixture, an SMS ninety minutes before kick-off, and an in-play SMS at half-time. For casino it's an email with the full offer and an SMS on the final day of the bonus window. The two channels share creative, tracking and reporting, so there is no extra setup to run both.

Pricing

No per-message fees, just depositors

CPA per qualified first-time depositor, revshare on net gaming revenue, or hybrid. SMS is often the first channel we trial with a new partner because it goes live fastest and shows player quality within days.

FAQ

SMS questions
operators ask us.

Can't find what you're looking for? Ping us on Telegram — we reply in hours, often minutes.

In most markets yes, with consent. The recipient must have opted in to receive marketing from the category, every message must identify the sender and carry an opt-out, and some GEOs restrict send hours or require responsible-gambling text. We run to opted-in audiences only and we check the rules per market before the first send.

SMS converts faster, email converts bigger. An SMS is read within minutes, which is why it wins for bonus expiries and pre-match windows. Email carries a richer offer and scales to far more volume. Most operators we work with run both: email for the base, SMS for the moments that matter.

Under 160 characters, one offer, one short tracked link, sent in a window chosen for the GEO and the event. Flash SMS and Unicode are available where the carrier route supports them. We write native copy per market; translated copy underperforms.

Two to three business days after contracts and postback. SMS has the shortest setup of the three channels, which is why we often use it for a first trial while the email and Google Ads accounts are being prepared.

Tier 1 and Tier 2 across Europe, the UK, Canada, Australia, LATAM and parts of APAC, on carrier-grade routes. US SMS for gambling is heavily restricted and we handle it case by case. The full GEO list is on the iGaming marketing agency page.

CPA per first-time depositor, revshare, or hybrid, the same as email. No per-message fees.
